With parents and kids alike at a real risk of ‘nature deficit disorder’, these spring school holidays is the time to switch off from the daily grind and technology to completely go off the grid as a family for an overnight sleepover like no other.
Take in Tidbinbilla’s unpolluted air, marvel at Mother Nature in all her natural glory, spot wildlife in their natural habitat, roast marshmallows by the evening fire and indulge in time as a family as you sleep under the stars and wake up to the sounds of birdsong and the smell of fresh mountain air.
As a family, take part in educational and interactive experiences designed specifically for this overnight stay including Welcome to the Park, Scavenge the Sanctuary, Behind the Scenes at the Vet Centre, The Life of a Ranger, Fireside Culture Chat, Morning Birds of Tidbinbilla and Aboriginal Hanging Rock.
This unique wilderness camp also includes a child-friendly CSI inspired activity and a fun Hi-Tech Wildlife infra-red camera and night scopes experience, a big favourite with our past glampers.

Each overnight family sleepover package includes five of the listed educational activities as well as breakfast, dinner, campfire activity including star-gazing, roasting marshmallows and 6metre Emperor Bell glamping tent accommodation (each tent includes real beds with quality bed linen).
After checking out from their overnight stay guests can spend the rest of the day exploring Tidbinbilla’s 16 hiking trails, Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex and NASA Tracking Station. Throughout the school holidays the nation’s capital will be bustling with things to do including Floriade, a floral display of more than a million bulbs and annuals planted across 8,000 square metres of the inner-city, as well as DreamWorks Animation Exhibition and the National Gallery of Australis Sculpture Garden.
